Thanks for your effort, purchasing one this week
dude, these are /not/ the same pads as the mpc1000.. those are much narrower (and have a sturdier, more mpc200 feel) than these..
tempo has been intermittent on mine as well (with live 8).. firmware is a bitt annoying, in that note repeat only works if the mpd is your (unreliable) clock source.. they should have just put the whole sequencer on the firmware with voicing on the computer..
Sounds great…..in theory. The pads on the midi controllers are pretty whack compared to real drum machines though. Synching with a DAW will still be hassle (just like it is with a real MPC).
mpd is compatible with any software,mpc500 is not to easy to use for chopping
Hey man, I’m trying to decide on a MPD32 to use with Live 8. Are you still having headaches? Would you recommend it?
I’ve considered a mpc, but I use Live so much that I was hoping to hit two birds with one stone.
thx
I need to learn the feel of the MPC before I buy one, the MPK doesnt have that MPC feel, Ive fucked with the MPK49 at Guitar Center I wouldnt use the pads on the MPK, thats why Im getting the 32 with it
