  • refused says:

this guy is wackkk, def overrated..

  • InfinityTrident says:

To the kid saying the MPD is a joke, you don’t know what you are talking about. I copped a MPD new for $150 and a S3000xl for $200. Voila, instant MPC 3000, for a fraction of the cost. I also use the MPD to trigger drums of the EPS16+ turbo, S950. Its a great tool to have in the arsenal, especially if you have a lot of older rackmount samplers like I do.

Let me ask you this; Why do you think its a joke? I’m gonna guess just because your favorite producer doesn’t use one, right?

@InfinityTrident I had a MPD 32, I sold it for my MPC…I miss my MPD, I used it with Reason…Clean as de fuck, a MPD hooked up to Reason or any other Daw for that matter is a virtual MPC

  • PuCCiPuCCe says:

Quik dont know what he doin on the 5000, But dont get it twisted, nobody does, that 5000 is no fuckin joke…but from what I hear and read the 5000 is the shittiest MPC of all of them, I played with the 5000 at Guitar Center and the 5000 is kinda bo-bo…I truly enjoy making beats on my 2500…the 2500 is the most underrated MPC of them all besides the 1000….but yeah man 2500 user all the way, fuck a 5000

  • gmartnz1994 says:

how do you start to make a new song without any of the preloaded sequences, tracks, or programs on it?

  • gmartnz1994 says:

how do you create a new program on the mpc 5000 with your own transferred sounds?

  • toad20toad20 says:

RTM (Read the manual)… that will be the most frequent response to simple questions that you’ll get… and that’s the best advice that anyone could give you. I wouldn’t normally promote ignorance by responding to a question such as that but I’m feeling nice: Scroll with your cursor to the ‘Pgm’ field on the main screen, press the ‘Window’ key twice. From there one of the function keys should correspond to the text “New” on the screen allowing you to create a new Program.

  • Robisonline2 says:

For all those who are quick to denigrate people for asking questions. There is such a thing as learning theory. Learning theory teaches us that not everyone grasps information in the same manner. Some of us learn from reading (manuals) and some of us learn by doing (Journeyman). So keep your negative comments to yourself. Suckas

  • gmartnz1994 says:

ya haha i got my mpc from a friend so i didnt have any manuals, but i downloaded one from the akai website. But thanks for replying and encouraging common sense!
