allinonethegreat - MPC 500/Dumb box? the mpc is DEFINATLY more complicated than ANY beat making/sequencer software i have used in the past. I admit there are many limitations of this device compared to some software solutions but this is much more of a "musical" tool forcing you to be more creative with your work and chopping samples by ear instead of relying on visuals.

i have a question about the mpc 500...can you use it as a midi controller for software synths and vst (in order to do nice drumm loops while recording and so)? appart, can you transfer samples from your computer (of any soft synth or vst) to your mpc and then control them with a keyboard for example? is cause i am interested in using it life instead of taking my laptop with my samples...thanks in advance
