hey there. thanks for the vids. i just realized you can press the numeric button on the right hand side buttons on the mpc and then use the 12 pads as number pad. you can then punch in the beginning and end points by punching in the numbers instead of scrolling. it seems this can get you closer to the points faster, and then you can scroll to tighten it up.
thanks again for the vids.
hi rios im loving yhe sound wave chops alot easier to make nice chop been spending a few hours chopping up sum jazz fusion tunes but im having trouble loading them on the mpc wondered if you could help im connecting the mpc to the computer then its cuming up with windows media player and go media but cant work out were to drag and drop them or it says its safe to disconnect ur device ,its driving me mad could do with sum guidences
yeah but how do you assign each samples to eack different pads of the mpc?!!!!
hey when you saved your files they were already chopped my wasnt it was still just 1 file how do i chop it and then assign it to the mpc?
never mind my last comment but where in the akai memory chip do you drag and drop? theres many different folders and files in there and when i dragged and dropped it i couldnt find it
just take all your junk ass videos off of youtube. waste of time and space. let the pros tell the truth
ok. whatever. i’m convinced to do as you say. thanks for stopping by.
@BoomBoxJakey bleh shut up
First of all, thanks for this video. But I do have a question. Is it possible to load a complete song, let’s say a soul song, onto the MPC 500 and chop it on the MPC itself? Like when you’re in the train or w/e? There’s that other drum machine, I don’t remember the name atm, that could do that, but I don’t know if the mpc can do that to.
aye man appreciate you throwin these tutorials up. im over here replayin’ your videos over & over tryin to learn how to work with this MPC. LOL. i just got it today.much love homie.
@DDeDokter you can load a song and chop it in the mpc but it will take you forever and also it needs to be wav and you need to if you have not done so yet but upgrade your ram. it helps alot.
@MeMpHiSsLiM20 Thanks a lot for your answer
Though I haven’t purchased one yet, I’m really thinking of doing so. But I think atm. I don’t need one, and would only buy one because it’s (kind of) a gadget.
a bruh u is a shyt homie!!
Yo, how do you chop the sample that way you will only get one part of it? lets say you hear a dope drum but it’s vocal, bass and hihats over it. How do you sample only that dope drum?
..And thanks for the videos, their really helpful!
does the mpc 1000 work the same way as the mpc 500?
can i sample like this wit a mpc 1000?
wavepad editor, then drag and drop the sample into a folder??
How do you speed up the sample?
@Bboyinspire you cant you can only sample drums when its the drum alone.
you could change the pitch? if you raise the pitch it will speed up but also the pitch will change. to change the pitch hit mode>program and scroll to the right til you see ‘sample tune’ then hit the pad the sample is on and use the wheel to change the pitch it goes all the way to 24.00.
im sure it does you just connect a USB hit mode load scroll to the right til it says USB:connected then access it as a device on your pc click and drag…
i think the max length for anything you load to the mpc is 30 secs…i could be wrong but i dont think you can load a whole song and chop it.
listen ya akai blue box and recyle works well wiv mpc500 for choping and use akai blue box too turn them in to akai programs,much faster than this and wen t jj seqancer is done,, well that and recyle and blue box is the best we going get for now
taks man:D
i saw you talked about the pitch, can you change the pitch of a sample and then slow it down the tempo so it fits the beat?
or will the pitched sample change its picth if you slow it down?
im pretty sure there is not way to speed up or slow down a sample without altering the pitch. if you want to keep the sample the original pitch change the BPM til it fits to the beat….
@DoctorSess
aight thanks man:)
appreciate it:)
