ok, i never use zone edit. What I don’t get is: once u edit the required zone, what happens to it? I can’t find the edited piece to assign to a pad, did u actually name it 1st or what?
wow the newer mpc’s are so much faster and easier but the 3000 sounds so nice.

I have the 2oooXL and I never use the zone feature, I find it too be way to tedious.
So I just chop manually no big deal!
Its not as hard as some people make it out to be.

was the 2000xl the first padded MPC? what was? when did it come out?

i just wanna know when these MPC’s were first made i mean some look new some look old, im just tryna figure out the history behind these beat machines.

NO. The 2000XL was not the first padded MPC.
prior to the 2000xl was the 2000.
prior to that was the 3000.
prior to that was the 60 mkII
prior to that was the 60.
prior to that was roger linn’s linn 9000.
the LINN 9000 / FORAT 9000 was the first MPC. pads and, sampler, sequencer. its sick.
I got one.
if anyone thinks there was something prior to that…let me know, because i would have to add that to my collection!
i know the SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS Studio 440 had pads too.
before mpc 60 it was the adr15….
pads have and the sp 12 and sp1200 by emu…
does the machine have a special mic which lets it pick up the sound ?

People keep askin if the 3k does the same things then the newer ones.. no.. it does less but it does it better.
