Is it necessary to upgrade OS of 3k to 3.11 or newer version?
My 3k with 3.03 OS can never correctly recognize SND files transferred by MPC Editor software.

  • holyprophacy says:

yeah.u might as well, its free to upgrade.just put it on a floppy disk and leave it in the machine at all times.that way it loads up everytime you turn it on.then just use an external drive to load sounds and save stuff

  • tonyfurious says:

    thanks for ur reply.
    It’s such an economical way!
    I’ll try it out!

  • MrStarski says:

  • holyprophacy says:

  • YungCyfe says:

  • Masterjai says:

  • westcoastneverdie says:

  • holyprophacy says:

just purchase the 250mb scsi external zip drive with discs.then buy the 250mb usb zip drive and then purchase mpc editor and there you go.

  • westcoastneverdie says:

so what extacly i need to do with a 250mb scsi external zip drive with discs and 250mb usb zip drive or how to use them

  • holyprophacy says:

real talk man,if you cant figure that part out,u shouldnt fool wit the mpc3000.get a newer one like the 1000 or 2500 or 5000…they have hard drives and built in sounds and shit.

  • cornellellis says:

how do u connect a vinylplayer to mpc?

  • holyprophacy says:

    r u serious?

  • oDJOldskull says:

Is it true, that mpc 4000 has the best of the two worlds? The sound of the older ones (u can change from 12 bit, 16 bit to 24 bit) and a possibility to hook it up to pc by using an usb port?

  • holyprophacy says:

it’s all a matter of opinion… i say no, but others would agree with you. who knows?..who cares, really…i say just find the machine that fits your style and learn it.

  • oDJOldskull says:

I totally agree with you. It’s not the machine, it’s all about the man, that is behind it. I’m just asking, because I was in love with mpc 3000 since it came out, and have now a chance to buy it. But I’m a lil bit afraid to do it, because i have an mpc 1000, and dunno if ill find myself in using mpc 3000. It’s comfortable to have and usb port, lots of ram etc. I dont want to feel like switching from windows xp to DOS system :) . What are adventages and dissadventages of this preety machine?

  • PuCCiPuCCe says:

@holyprophacy So how do you load the sounds off the drive? Is it Mode then Load? Im getting a 3000 tommorow…Upgrading from a 2500

  • mannyr88 says:
