Oh yea good tips. I would some times take the sample and double the speed and then take the sample after its been doubled and pitch it double below the speed to bring it back to its normal bpm.

  • vinyljunkie07 says:

Ah cool, so a bit like what they used to do in the old days with sampling at the max speed on the turntable to save ram in the sampler and then bringing it back down/pitching it down in the sampler to add that nice sounding fairy dust to the sound hehehe

everyday I find yet another video that explains something in 5 mins where it would take a day looking at a manual or reading a review.

Nice one yet again mate. 5 stars is getting to be a habit with you.

You do more to keep these classic and superb hardware synths n samplers alive than anyone else I know.

    Someone give him a medal!

does anyone know to hook up mpc 2000xl with scsi cord to zip drive? thanks, peace, and one love.

  • subwayfan68 says:

@Lorigo559 …………….yes! Hook the drive to the MPC and then turn the MPC on. Make sure the ID on the drive matches the ID # on the mpc. You can set the ID # on the drive to whatever # you please. Press shift/load….you’ll see DEVICE: ATAPI. Highlight ATAPI and turn the jogwheel until you see SCSI and whatever # you used for the drive. I.E….SCSI 1,2,3 etc. The MPC will show you the drive that is active and there you have it. You can now load and save samples and sequences.
