Hey I have a question, how do you chop a single sample into lots of bits like with the 2000XL? Can the 2000 do it?
the process is way more manual on the 2000. there’s no 16 zone feature like there is on the 2000xl. i like the 2000, but i’ll say it takes more time to chop a 2 bar sample into 16 equal parts. knowing how to set the params is very important whether u use the 2000 or 2000xl.
My friend uses this model, it is very similar to the SP1200 in the sense the pads are set up like a drum machine. Even though the Akai samplers came in the later years of sample technology, I think they are the best sounding samplers ever as far as clarity and warmth and what they can do for the musician. Nowadays, They can do more than the predecessor samplers like Synclavier, Mellotron, Fairlight, Emulator, Ensoniq, Prophet 2000/2002, Roland, Kurzweil and more, I’ll NEVER part with my S1100!
how do you change that from one digits to two digits ? (this part) 53<–seconds!?
i used my outer jog-wheel and it didn't work
