first ,most producers aint even use software yet,2nd im a teacher on a pop & media school ,we never encourage to use for proffesional use reason,we tach it first year kids, second reason has a cheap interface ,plus all users sounds simular to eachother,a mpc ove rreaosn allday.but prolly you a young kid dont know the quality of mpc,s or hardware

if tyou a serious beatmaker you look @ cubase ableton, pro tools ,sonar, flstudio and reason is good to start out on

  • betatester09 says:

    i got cubase dude….

  • BeatsNRhyms says:

perfect,i use it too to record all my live stuff from mpc and triton /synths ,
cubase sounds in general way warmer then reason or fl studio ,plus you can do like 10000000000 things more ,i use cubase now for years and even i didnt found everything out init (although we tech cubase) thats how huge and good the program is

  • kekenalii says:

    dope man.

  • ais4real says:

mpc has no better sound qaulity then software both are digital but i will say the mpc 4000 soundsin part because it has a higher bit rate

  • BeatsNRhyms says:

then you have no mpc, or ever been a mpc user ,or ur a user that has 1000 ,25000,5000,or the 5000 ,but the older mpc,s do have a bettr soundquality then software (saying it from my experience)i used to have the 2000 1000 2000 xl and the 2500 ,1000 and 2500 sounded shitty,2000 and 2000 xl where dope as fuck ,same kick that i had in lets say cubase ,ran it trough the mpc you get this deep warm sound wich in software you need to eq right first ,

  • BeatsNRhyms says:

type and search 20 sylbeatmaking, there you will hear the warmth too when he makes them drums ,if mpc,s standart have no better sound then soft why sell it for somuch more?exactly,in software you can get bettr endrsults but ,do one single kick trough soft or trough a mpc and youle clearly hear the diffrence :)

  • TheKoolT says:

    check out my BEATS

Chosen for president!!! check my page if u got time

  • sharingan9000 says:

Good ass beat man and your a bad ass producer but did you ever think of using a software fully? Except controlling it from midi? Alot more sounds and ways to make beats. It’d probably boost your creativity like tenfold ^^

  • complexness says:

    your dope bro

  • theprimeboy says:

dope beat homie, check out my beattape and tracks..maybe you like em. i got a question : the mpc 2000 has no timestretching right? do you miss this feature or you get along with it without timestretching?

  • PuCCiPuCCe says:

@BeatsNRhyms MPC 2000xl sucks…If youre talking about sound quality you would have to be referring to the MPC 60 or MPC 3000…the 4000 isnt that bad either but actually I own the 2500 and it doesnt sound that bad, you can actually make clean sounding beats with the 25hunned…

  • BeatsNRhyms says:

    ive owned the 2000 ,2000xl,2500,and 1000
asr 10 ,ensoniq asr (black edition)roland mv 8000

and in my opinion the mpc 2000 had a way diffrent soundquality and much better, you can read on several sites how it was one of dillas fav used mpc :) besides the 3000 :)

the 2500 was in my opinion str8up wack,i sold it maybe a vieuw months later but i guess if it works for you its good for you:) i know some cats who smash on mpc 2500 ,did you check out the divinci live session?

  • PuCCiPuCCe says:

@BeatsNRhyms Yeah true true…the 2000XL is dirty but the only reason I say it sucks is the use of Floppy disks….but you know who absolutely murks the 2500? ArabbMusik….

  • BeatsNRhyms says:

i think all mpc ,s are dope:Dsame as software its what ever makes the “”producer”"work the best:D

  • jtpatna says:

and im wondering if their a faster way to trim a sample cause with the data wheel it take way to long to much scrolling n the samle hella short help.. plz

i hear the outer date wheel but tht dont work

  • machertel says:

    FIRE!!!!!!!!!!
    respect from italy

  • subwayfan68 says:

MPC 2000XL can be upgraded with the ZIP drive. Yeah I had to get rid of the floppy crap. My ZIP drive inside the XL is a Godsend. No more going through hundreds of floppies to get what i need. 100 of those things fit on 1 100mb zip disc and twice as many on the 250mb disc.
